This coin is issued by Perth Mint - This is a third annual release from the Australian Lunar Series III and dedicated to Lunar year of Tiger as 2022 is  the Year of the Tiger, which represents strength, exorcising evils, and braveness.

The Chinese Lunar Calendar follows a 12-year cycle featuring 12 animals including the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. Each year is represented in succession by one of these animals . 

Obverse: Features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Jody Clark along with the metal weight, purity, legal tender value, and country of issue.

Reverse: Features a depiction of a majestic tiger gazing across the landscape atop a rock, showing its teeth along with the inscription “TIGER 2022” and the Chinese character for tiger. Designed by Monique Reeves.
